COLLOCATION KNOWLEDGE AND READING ABILITY: A CORRELATIONAL STUDY AT 5TH SEMESTER STUDENTS

چکیده

Collocations are always present in every reading. Reading comprehension followed by collocation mastery. The objective of this research is (1) to investigate the students’ lexical mastery (2) reading achievement (3) significant correlation between and their English Department at 5th Semester UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. Correlational study was applied as a method. There were 30 students taken sample research. data collected using test. In analyzing data, used Pearson Product Moment Correlation SPSS 25. result showed that score test 93.3 % with category poor 66.7% very poor. Finally, it can be conclude fair. It means alternative (H1) accepted while null (H0) rejected. Moreover, since low affect achievement, hoped knowledge ability on improved better teacher.
